  • Environmental Analysis and Market Positioning. Integrated objective and subjective assessment of the external environment to support optimal market positioning and strategy development.
  • Strategic Planning. Definition of strategic direction and plans for allocation of resources including capital and people. Analysis techniques may include approaches such SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) or STEER analysis (Socio-cultural, Technological, Economic, Ecological and Regulatory factors) to ensure a holistic view that also supports strategic risk integration.
  • Red Teaming and Scenario Planning. More or less formal approaches to “what-if” analysis, including competitor or adversary role playing and / or analysis of a series of possible scenarios, to identify potential vulnerabilities within an organization’s key strategies in order to develop needed strategic options and risk management plans.
  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). Development of a framework that identifies key risks with enterprise-level impact to facilitate a risk-based approach to managing an organization, including risk governance, reporting and cross-organizational risk prioritization to support effective allocation of risk management resources.
  • Reputation Risk Strategy. Identification of the risks that would have the greatest impact on organizational reputation and integration of prioritized risk management planning with proactive and responsive stakeholder communication plans.
  • Operational Risk Assessment and Response Planning. Application of a range of techniques, including Failure Modes and Effectives Analysis (FMEA), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and/or heat maps to identify potential sources of failure, and assess their likelihood and severity and plan appropriate responses.
  • Operational Risk Management Best Practices Training. Training in risk assessment methodologies, effective risk response decision making, risk mitigation planning and risk tracking and reporting.
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning. Development of effective contingency plans for key process failures including technology system disaster recovery plans with business-driven recovery time and recovery point objectives.
  • Simulation and Exercises. Live or tabletop simulation events to test contingency plans or readiness for significant new technology deployments.
